As we usher in Women’s History Month this March, Lancer Worldwide proudly celebrates the achievements and initiatives of our Strong-Willed Women organization.
Established as a tailored development and networking program, Strong-Willed Women is dedicated to empowering motivated, future-oriented women at Lancer. Our mission is to cultivate a diverse leadership pipeline by helping our women realize their full potential and develop leadership skills to thrive and succeed in their careers at Lancer. Aligned with Lancer’s culture and values, we collaborate to achieve greater individual, team, and organizational results, envisioning equal representation and value for women and men at every level.
On March 6th, members of Strong-Willed Women attended the YWCA San Antonio‘s 2025 Women of Influence Luncheon, held at the Witte Museum . This annual event, celebrating its 115th anniversary, honors women who have made significant contributions to the community and empowered others in San Antonio. The luncheon also serves as YWCA San Antonio’s signature fundraiser, supporting programs and services that benefit over 15,000 individuals annually, including early childhood care and education, after-school care, and workforce development.
This year’s honorees included civic and community leader Rachel Sakai and Jamie Kowalski, Vice President of Corporate Relations at RK Group.
Continuing our celebration of Women’s History Month, Strong-Willed Women hosted a special event on March 7th featuring guest speaker Bonita Owens . Bonita is a Certified Coach, Inspirational Speaker, Leadership Facilitator, and owner of AWN Leadership Consulting, a personal and professional development company that provides strategies to support women leaders in balancing life and leadership through self-awareness.
During her engaging talk, Bonita emphasized the importance of taking risks, building networks, and taking responsibility for one’s own life and career growth. Attendees were inspired by her insights and practical advice on self-discovery, self-love, and self-leadership.
In addition to her presentation, we held a giveaway of Bonita’s book, “Who Stole My Significance?”, which chronicles her journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
This event provided our members with valuable tools and inspiration to continue their personal and professional development journeys.
As we progress through Women’s History Month, Strong-Willed Women remains committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive. We will continue to support initiatives that empower our members, promote diversity, and drive positive change within Lancer and the broader community.
We invite all Lancer employees to participate in our upcoming events and join us in celebrating the remarkable contributions of women throughout history and within our organization.
Together, we can create a future where everyone has the opportunity to lead, succeed, and make a lasting impact.
